Alumni Spotlight
Christina Chiu is a distinguished alumna of NYU Stern’s undergraduate program and a leading figure in the New York City and national real estate industries. After earning her undergraduate degree at Stern, Christina built an 18-year career at Morgan Stanley, where she rose to Managing Director and served as Chief Operating Officer of Global Listed Real Assets Investing. In that role, she helped steward investment strategy across global REIT markets and infrastructure, bringing institutional rigor to listed real estate portfolios.
Today, Christina serves as President of Empire State Realty Trust, a premier New York-based REIT known for its iconic portfolio and leadership in sustainability and tenant experience. Recognized as one of the Commercial Observer’s Power 100, alongside ESRT CEO Anthony Malkin, her work spans the full spectrum of real estate investment, operational execution, and corporate leadership.
Christina is an active member of the Chen Institute community, where she serves as a co-chair of the Alumni Leadership Council and a member of the Institute’s Advisory Board, helping to guide strategic priorities and foster alumni engagement.
