Supporting the Next Generation of
Industry Leaders

Philanthropic support from alumni and friends of the Chen Institute has a critical role in advancing our mission. Gifts to the Institute enable an extraordinary range of initiatives—from immersive student programs and innovative curriculum development to cutting-edge faculty research and high-impact industry and policy engagement. Contributions also sustain our global alumni community through events, mentoring, and professional development programs.

Your support helps ensure that Stern remains a leading global platform for real estate education, scholarship, and thought leadership. Whether to advance core academic initiatives or targeted strategic priorities, your gift enables the Institute to equip students with the skills, experiences, and networks they need to lead in a rapidly changing industry.

Your Support at Work

The Ruimy Global Experience Fund

Established through the generosity of Franck Ruimy (MBA '02), the Ruimy Global Experience Fund has transformed the Institute’s ability to offer immersive, international learning experiences. The fund supports the expansion of Global Real Estate Markets, a flagship MBA course that now reaches more than 60 students annually. With modules in cities including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, London, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo, students engage directly with global investment leaders to understand market dynamics and policy frameworks—preparing them to work across borders and sectors.

The Whiteside Software Training Fund

The Whiteside Software Training Fund provides vital support for students preparing for careers in real estate investment, lending, and development. Through this fund, the Institute delivers industry-standard training in tools such as Argus Enterprise, ensuring that graduates are equipped with the technical skills and certifications required by leading employers. This investment in practical training complements our academic curriculum and strengthens students’ competitiveness in the job market.
